Book One of The Werewolf Saga
Fact: In 1917, Katherine Cross was murdered.
Her gravestone in Konawa, Oklahoma, bears the epitaph
“Murdered By Human Wolves.”
This is her story.
Murdered by Human Wolves takes the few facts known about Cross’s death, mixes them with author Steven E. Wedel’s interview of a paranormal investigator who has studied Cross for years, and introduces Wedel’s own characters, the McGrath clan of werewolves, to weave an intriguing, totally plausible tale of lycanthropy, hysteria, and murder on the prairie of the frontier. The story follows 18-year-old Katherine as she tries to rescue her friend Elise Stone from the McGraths, only to find herself seduced and impregnated as the town’s relentless werewolf hunters close in on the clan.

I’m interested, but this book is hard to find. Neither Amazon nor half.com has it. What’s up?
You’re in luck!
Scrybe Press just released a new edition of this book last week. Amazon has it here: http://astore.amazon.com/steveewedel-20
They don’t have the cover up yet, but it’s the cover you see in the original post.
The original edition has been out of print for about a year and is hard to find. The new one’s better, though. I hope you like it.
Im interested in who the auther interview from the town on this subject. I ve never read the book. But i do know a man who knows alot of history on the subject and even says that she was one of his favor teachers
is there a human werewolf??
The book really leaves it up to you to decide. I wouldn’t want to spoil it for you.
Visited the grave out of curiousity. Then I bought the book and it was an awesome read. Any chance of some recent updates from the paranormal investigator in regards to her series of strange encounters in regard to Katherine’s grave? I just could not help but wonder if your still in contact with her and if she was still involved with the whole mystery?
oklaraider — I haven’t heard from Mary in a couple of years. The last time she contacted me she said she’d been invited to one of the daytime talk shows to discuss Katherine Cross. I can’t remember now which show it was. So, really, I don’t know if she’s still investigating or not. Thanks for giving the book a read, though!
